How to get KRT16S Listed In NRT

If you install NRT v1.7.8 – when you run it for the first time you will NOT see KRT16S listed.  This is because the way its built now, the masterlists won’t get updated until you first select a build (I will change this in the next version)

So… To get is listed, just:

  1. Select any build you want (then you can hit cancel to any of the downloads you don’t need)
  2. Wait for the main toolkit interface to open and the updates to finish.
  3. Then > Check back in the device list and you will see KRT16S listed!

That’s it. 😀

Also another quick tip: if you ever want to check for updates from within the toolkit, you can simply issue the hotkey command: ctrl+u

That’s all for now!

Site Revisions + Cleanup

I just did a round of MUCH needed (long overdue) round of site cleanup and deleted a bunch of old outdated content and reorganized everything on this site to fit a blog-style structure.

The main changes I made are as follows

  • The FAQs now have their own top-level page so they are easier to find and navigate to.
  • The blog section will now be my primary method for sending out new updates about NRT or any other cool tech related (or random) articles I may write – so if you want to stay updated with latest info on Nexus Root Toolkit and any other stuff I may post about, then hit the subscribe button on the home page.
  • Moved the old (mostly out of date) guides to the blog section and dated them accordingly (they were from 2011 ::facepalm )
  • Removed pages with little to no content.

Now that I have moved to a blog-style site, please feel free to let me know what articles you would like me to write about.  If there is something android or tech related that you would like my opinion or advice on (that you think is worthy of a blog post) then post it bellow in the comments.  I don’t have much time to devote to this, but I would be happy to post some new content intermittently when I am available.

That’s all for now! Enjoy! ^_^

Nexus Root Toolkit v1.7.5 Released

Nexus Root Toolkit v1.7.5 is officially released!  This new version brings full to support to the new Nexus 5 device and KitKat.  NRTv1.7.5 also includes new display capture features; more specifically – it includes a screenshot feature in advanced utilites, and for 4.4 devices, it also has a new interface for performing screen recordings.  This Screen Recording feature will actually work on all KitKat devices (not just the Nexus line), so if people wan’t I may also compile that code as a separate app.

Head over to the official NRT page now to grab the new version: http://wugfresh.com/nrt/

Please refrain from posting support questions here.  You can post them on the main download page, or preferably on the XDA forums.  Also please check out the FAQs.

That’s all for now. Enjoy! ^_^
